For Dunagan try looking for Dungan. There was a large family of Dungans in Pennsylvania
in this time frame.

Just read your message where you gave the name Rhoda Dunagan, I have been
trying to find any information on an Eliza Dunagan born ca 1829 and died 28
Oct 1855 who married my gggrandfather Levi Huber in Fayette Co. In. I have
not been able to find any information about her at all..........is she by
chance related to your Rhoda?

Patricia -
Thanks for the information you sent on the various William Hancocks -
there are too many of them in my background. The William V. Hancock in
Monroe County, Iowa was my great grandfather. He married Rhoda Dunagan in
Owen County, then moved to Iowa.
I'm not sure which William was in Owen County in 1860, but that will give
me something else to research. I will also get a copy of the census the
next time I go to the National Archives here. We are so lucky to have
that facility close to us.
