I don't know anything about the Welty's, but I am researching Turners from
Ohio, who may have moved to Indiana. They were living in northeast Ohio in the
1830-1840 time frame. The father was James Turner b. about 1800 in New York.
So far I can identify a daughter Phoebe b. 1827 (my ancestor) and son James
Dillon b. 1840. Both died in Michigan.

This is the family I am researching that had Owen County ties. Does anyone
on the list know anything about them? I have some info on the Waggoner and
Turner families. And I have a lot of information on the John Jacob Welty
family. Any other info would be gratefully accepted-and I'll thank the person
who gives it to me. :)
