Coleen
I need some clarification on this one.
You are looking for a death of John & Hannah (Gibson) Smith after 1850 but
prior to 1860.
HOWEVER, in a previous email you put--
Thanks for the lookup. Temple living with
an Elias Scott & family in 1860 census,
he was a laborer that is why I wondered.
His parents were there in 1860 as well.
So, if his parents were there in 1860 as well, then there is no death
between 1850-1860, is that correct??
Perhaps I am reading this wrong.
For what it is worth, it was quite common for children to be listed in
another home and be a "hired hand". I have one who was listed in the home of
the people he was working for AS WELL as being listed in his own home during
the same census.

Subject: [INOWEN] Look Up Please & Thanks
Need lookup prior to 1860 after 1850
for deaths of John and Hannah (Gibson)
Smith. Have found one son with a family
name of Elias Scott in 1860, another son
Adam with another family in 1860.
Would like to know if there are probate/
will on file for these people. Thanks and
have a good New Years.
