Hi David,
Your surname of Beam caught my eye and I wonder if you are related to the
same Beam family as is a part of my family. Homer C. Beam, son of Alvin T.
and Viana (Sanders) Beam is my great uncle by marriage. He married Mary
Elizabeth Bales, daughter of Samuel Francis Bales and Lydia Clementine
((Chandler) Bales. Homer and Mary Elizabeth had a daughter, Naomi, who
married Paul Schramm. I know that Alvin T. and Viana Beam had at least 8
children but I know little of the family beyond that.

Listmembers
I have become aware that many of the surname listings need to be
removed or changed.
These are from persons who no longer research or are deceased- these
are also ones that people have not submitted to me, I have just
compared with other areas of the website.
So please take a few moments and send me this information for
updating--
Your Name and Email (also note if it is a new email) Your Surnames
Which Counties these are from (as the website is for Morgan, Owen and
Putnam
Counties)
You can send this to the mailing list at INOWEN-L(a)rootsweb.com or to
me personally at-- debbiejennings53(a)gmail.com
If I don't hear from some of you that I haven't seen activity from in
a while, you names might be deleted as I may assume you are no longer
researching or on the mailing list.

My Direct descendants in Owen County are Hutton, Gillaspy, McGuire.
Thomas C. Hutton came with his wife Mary Ann Hill in 1830 from
Washington Co., VA. His son Moses H. Hutton also lived in Putnam Co.,
IN. Martin Gillaspy moved to Owen County from Clark Co., KY in 1829.
His father fought in the Revolutionary War and I was able to get him in
the DAR.
Surnames married into these families are Steele, Brick, McMains, Boggs
and Dent.
I have a lot of information on the direct descendant surnames and will
share all I have.

Debbie:
Thank your for your tireless efforts.
My name is Richard Carr. I continue to research the Kerr/Carr
families who had resided in Prairie Township in Holmes County Ohio
until William Kerr purchased land in Lafayette Township in Owen County
Indiana on
October
17, of 1840. My great-great grandfather, the son of William Kerr,
Eli
Kerr purchased land in County, Ohio at about the same time. At the
time he purchased the land he changed the spelling of his name from Kerr
to Carr.
He married Elizabeth Mitchell who purportedly immigrated to the area
from Ireland.
We seek any possible information regarding the family of Elizabeth
Mitchell Carr. She apparently passed between 1845 and 1848 while
moving westward with Eli and their three children. We have not been
able to locate any information regarding where or when or why
Elizabeth Mitchell passed. Please help.
Please do not remove my name from the mailing list.

Wanting to help Richard Carr.
Checked
Familysearch.org - and find Eli Carr listed with Elizabeth
Mitchell - she born 1818 in Ireland. Married Eli 14 Oct 1849 - with
their 3 children Joseph Wilson Carr, Sarah Matilda Carr, William
Mitchell Carr listed & their birthdates.
However, discrepancy - site shows Elizabeth as having died 1848 - no
place given. Must be a typo of their marriage - With first son Joseph
Wilson being born 6 May 1839 - I'm thinking they probably married 14
Oct _1838_ - or 1839 just before child was born.
Info shows Eli Carr
28 May 1813 - Hanover Twp, Washington County, PA died 3 November 1885
Springview, Keya Paha, Nebraska, United States Affiliate Record
identifier 28212772 Rogers Cemetery
Could Elizabeth be buried in same cemetery?
Hope this helps. Claire

Hi Kim! I think we've touched base before. I descend from Timothy Rand
