So sorry for your family struggle. I don't do much research now a days due to health
issues. I don't get around as much anymore with lung problems. But I do want to thank
everyone that helped me to find my grandmothers birth family. Maude White adopted in 1900
(see Early Adoptions in Owen Co.) I have her family traced back to 2 families on the
Mayflower including Pergine White first English child born in new world aboard the
Mayflower and, to the first man hang for murder. But also related to him is Pres. James
Garfield. learned a lot and had fun. I can still answer any questions for anyone that
needs my help. My Surnames in Owen are White / Price / Clawson spelled a lot of differ
ways.Vickie

Listmembers--
Many of you are aware that in the past few months, my father, Dick
(Richard) Carter was in ICU on life support for a couple of months and then
in a nursing home after that.
He returned home just before Christmas time, however sadly his mental
faculties are not what they once were and even by his own admission, his
once sterling memory for names and dates is no longer functioning for him
as they did.
The point of this email is to let anyone know that was corresponding with
him in your research that he is no longer able to do any research. He no
longer gets on the computer except perhaps to play games.
I don't really know if anyone on the list was working with him, but if so,
I can answer questions on the research if need be.
