Hi Elizabeth - My maiden name is Jordan. Most of mine were in So. Illinois, but a few
slipped over to the Indy side! If you want to share info, give me a buzz. Thanks.
I'm excited about the Indy site as my Carter, Whites and McDowells were in Indy.
Have a pleasant day!

Got this e-mail from Donna Jo Belcher...A different way to search for
info...
You can read all the articles for each issue! There are excerpts from
pioneer diaries, letters from church members, accounts of river trips,
mentions of stuff like "we went to Mr.McCormick's, who lived in a cabin on a
creek", or "met Mr. Conner, who's house was on a prairie"...neat
little
stuff like that. There were accounts of Indian towns, explorations of what
was found inside Indian burial mounds, just all kinds of cool stuff...and I
only made it thru the first 2 issues. I'm still in 1905
I'll let you know if I find any pertinent stuff as I continue to read .Some
of the folks that were interviewed were quite elderly in 1905. Djb
