confusing as two marriages were noted and neither was to a Green. Did the
paper make a mistake? Was Ammasetta's surname at death Suffal or Green?
Ammasetta Green was born in Clay Township, Owen County, Indiana, March 25,
1842. She was united in marriage to Samuel C. Gray, April 23, 1860. To
this union were born three children: Rose McBride, Terre Haute, Lettie
Revelle, Decatur, Ill., and Carl Gray, Owen County. She was united in
marriage to W. J. Suffal, September 2, 1877, to this union three children
were born: Gertie Wright and Ola Trent, Worthington, Ind., and W. J.
Suffal, Jr. of Indianapolis, all of whom survive. Besides the husband and
children mention, one brother, one sister, and three half brothers survive:
Cornelia Wright and Asbury Green, Freedom, Ind., Fayette Green, Texas,
Charles Green, Clay Township, and O. P. Green, Spencer. Besides the
above-mentioned, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren survive.
She became a member of the M. E. Church when a young girl and has been a
faithful member ever since. She departed this life March 21, 1915, age 72
years, 11 months and 26 days. She was buried in the Defore Cemetery.
