If you are looking for Civil War soldiers, try by going to Google and typing
in Civil War Soldiers. You will get the National Park Service site and the
Civil War Soldiers and Sailors site. If you are looking for more
comprehensive
material, you would need to write to the National Archives for the Service
record or pension record. Owen County Historical and Genealogical Society
has a
publication "Military Veterans 1775-1903" that is Owen County specific.
