Mr. Grant - You might want to try Barren County, KY. That is where my Thomas J. White was
born in 1807...haven't checked to see how close that is to the other one, but the
possibility exists I suppose. My Thomas had two wives -first was Amy Jones b. 1808
Jackson Co. Tn, died 1851 in Coles Co. IL . 2nd was Amy Canteberry, b.1818 Barren Co. Ky
died 1881 Hamilton Co. IL
Be kinder than is necessary because everyone
you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Robert N. Grant is looking for the reference for the birthplace of Thomas White, born
1868, died in Pierce County, Washington. You will remember him as the husband of Annie
Light. Some have him born in Kenton County, Kentucky. This is suspect, since the county
did not have that name till later. Do you know the source for that birthplace? Below are
the sources listed in my article in Owen County Magazine of History and Genealogy. My
hunch is that it is family lore and that I found it on
ancestry.com on the tree named
below - but I don't work in this material any more. Everything I know is on
line.Happy hunting!nancyNancy R. Scott, Urbana, IL.
