Nathan R. Beaman, son of Laban and Mahala (Stevens) Beaman, was born 16 July
1854 in Owen County. He married in Clay County on 6 April 1879 to Nannie E.
Fagan. Son, Corry Eugene Beaman was born 12 December 1880, place unknown.
(Corry Eugene registered at Lincoln County, Idaho for the WWI Civilian Draft.)
Nathan was said to have gone to Linn County, KS in 1887, but I have not
located him in any Federal census until 1920. Also he was said to have
married there in 1889 to Elizabeth Hicks, but I have not found a marriage
record. Elizabeth and Nathan are buried side by side in Elk Creek Cemetery,
Stanton Township. Another child of Nathan R. is William Wilbert Beaman, born
19 February 1883 in Linn County; his mother was said to be Elizabeth Hicks.
Can anyone tell me what happened to Nannie, and when and where Nathan and
Elizabeth were married?
