Debbie,
I use to work in the Gosport History Museum and have learned a lot about
Ephraim Goss. I even have been in the tiny Goss Cemetery where he, Anna
Workman and others of his family are buried. The cemetery sits on private
land now just outside Gosport But I do not descend from the Goss Family.
My linage is the Ennis Family of Gosport, Owen County. James Ennis married
Margaret Hancock around 1861 I live in the house they built in 1892. They
had two sons, James Ennis Jr and William (Peg) Ennis, who married a Lawson.
She went by the nickname of Dolly. Peg Ennis lived in my house most all his
96 years and died here in 1962.
James Ennis is the cousin of my great great grandfather, Absalom Ennis. I
would love to know more about this genealogy and exactly how James Ennis
ties into my direct Ennis line. Any information would be appreciated.
I believe I have seen your name on other mailing lists I am on. Do you live
in this area?
Thanks,
Annie
