My Permelia Wolfe' s family, they came from PA by way of New Jersey. But that is her
paternal line. She could have been named from her mother's side which was Farabee from
PA by way of Delaware. This is such an uncommon name you would think it comes down thru a
family line.

This name "Permelia" is so curious. Perhaps that was being commonly used in
the 1850-1880s as I find this on a difficult-to-read 1880 Harrison, Owen,
Indiana census sheet and it has been transcribed as this:
Perniclia JONES Dau S Female W 18 IN At Home IN IN
I have never found anyone else with this name. I'm guessing it should have
been Permelia. I always enjoy reading these email inowen exchanges - and
learn much! Thank you. Claire Field in Provo, Utah

Linda - According to the Male Marriage Index for Barren County, KY, Acre
Dunagan married Permelia Duggins in 1817. In the 1850 Census for Owen
County, IN she is listed as age 54 and born in Virginia. Theda
