Has our mailing list died?
OK folks; the list got kind of dead during the spring and summer months but
that is to be expected.
That is normally the time that everyone is out either on vacation or
searching the cemeteries.
This however, is normally the time of year that things start picking up with
research since everyone is going to be cooped up in the house for the
winter.
We should all be searching for the data to store away in our winter stash to
work on when the weather is getting bad.
Just a small reminder that Christmas is coming and with that we should have
a wave of brand new researchers who have never research via the internet or
in some cases used a computer. Extra patience will be needed while they
develop the skills to ask the right questions with the correct data. They
will also be somewhat lax in their virus protection; so it is up to you to
protect yourselves.
We have recently had some new subscribers to the mailing list that may not
be familiar with the posting procedures.
So for those persons:
In order to make a posting/query for others to read and hopefully answer,
formulate your email and include the information you wish to find out; as
much data about the individuals/children/spouses as you can. Attempt to give
some sense of place or time frame for your ancestor.
Post as many times as you would like to. It is best to keep each
email/posting focused on one family/individual. Don't start mixing queries
within the same email.
Address this to: INOWEN-L(a)rootsweb.com
For the rest of you, answer those that you can.
