Information I got from his death certificate was that he died in Clay Co,
but was buried in Wilson Cemetery, Coal City, Owen Co. Death certificate
had no information on parents. Have you come up with any?
There are a number of my ancestors who lived and died in Clay Co and are
buried in Coal City. Anyone know of any connection?
As to war records, I am assuming you mean that you have not found any. If
that assumption is correct, then there are a couple of questions? How do
you know he was in the war? Does he have a military headstone in Wilson
Cemetery? That should name the outfit.

I do have a great deal of information on the Beatty family. But my
g-grandfather Joshua Marion Griffith, was in the Civil War, and is buried in
Clay County in 1923. But I can not find anything on his was record.
