List members:
It is getting close to that time of year again and I am simply posting my
yearly reminder.
There will be new researchers out there; those who receive computers for
Christmas and perhaps have either never used a computer before or never
utilized the internet to conduct their genealogical research.
These new researchers will:
1. Frequently create postings that are lacking in vital information
needed in order to answer their questions.
2. Leave out items such as locations or time frames
3. Be ignorant of the basic email etiquette that we are all familiar
with
4. For their quests in the form of "Send me everything" or "Give me all
you have"
5. Most importantly from our viewpoint-lack a good knowledge regarding
virus protection and therefore their attachments should be viewed with more
caution then normal.
6. Not be familiar with opening or sending attachments
It would be good if all of us can show just a little more tolerance with
these new researchers then we normally would be accustomed to.
They will I am certain do things or not do things that we "old" researchers
consider common practice or common taboo.
Just remember and keep your heads up during this season.
As many of you long standing list members know, the first of the New Year
seems to become more rampant with "New" viruses making the rounds. Update
your virus scans and be wary of attachments from strangers!!

If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and
all generations of your ancestors. All
of them are alive in this moment. Each is present in your body. You are the
continuation.
