No, I don't think so. The other list I am on, they are always asking for help
to care for old forgotten cemeteries. I think the rule is after so many years
they can sell the land In one case they were fighting with an old farmer
who had a cemetery on his farm and would not allow excess to the families that
had ancestors buried there and would not do any up keep on the cemetery. When
I get a chance to get home my Aunt and I will be trying to find the cemetery
her Grandmother and her baby is buried in. They have build oil tanks near the
cemetery and she is not sure where or even if it is still there. Also my
brother work construction and I remember when the company they worked for build over
an old cemetery. My brother was quite upset! He was told if the last grave
was over 100 years old the law says it was okay. He was glad when that job
finished!
