Found this book stored away and thought I might pass along the details of it:
Original Title: " Atlas of Putnam Co. Indiana, to which are added various general
maps, History Statistics, Illustrations." by J.H. Beers & Co., Publishers,
Lakeside Building, Cor: of Clarke & Adams Sts. Chicago 1879.
My Copy: "The reproduction of this book has been made possible throught the
sponsorship of the Putnam County Historical Society, Greencastle, Indiana. A Reproduction
by Unigraphic, Inc. 4400 Jackson Avenue, Evansville, Indiana 47715 Nineteen Hundred
Seventy Three. Binding by Modern Pre-Binding Corporation, Portland, Indiana
There is probably a copy in the Putnam County Library. Believe it or not, I bought this
in 1973/74 and literally drew lines to make family tree and wrote in names (some ink, some
pencil) for my family tree on the blank pages in the back of this hardbound book.....guess
20 somethings weren't too smart about genealogy in that era...kind of my version of a
family bible I suppose, LOL!
