Hello,
I found U.A .V. Hester in the 1850 census -
Wayne Twp. (Gosport), August 6, 1850
Household # 80 80
HESTER U.A.V. 29 M physician $1,550 Ind
S.E. 21 F Ind
In the 1860 census -
Wayne Twp, PO Gosport, July 29, 1860
Household # 1191 1182
HESTER U.A.V. 40 M physician $2,000 $500 Ind
Ellen 30 F Ind
McCoy Geo 26 M physician $200 Ind
There are no children listed with either census year. However, in 1860
there is one other Hester family in Owen Co.-
Harrison Twp, PO Quincy, July 10, 1860
Household # 818 809
HESTER Jno W. 26M farmer $800 $250 Penn
Maritta E. 24 F Ind
I hope this helps somewhat. You mention that Ellen's maiden name was
Hudson. There are 3 Hudson listings for 1850. Let me know if you need
them. I didn't check for the Fiscus listings for Rachel in 1860 either.
Good luck,

Subject: [INOWEN] Ellen Hudson and Dr. UAV Hester(1816-1893)
I am looking for Dr. UAV Hester (1816-1893) and his first wife Ellen
Hudson
(1850-1868).
They are both buried in the Gosport cemetery. I am interested in the
name
of their son
who was a circus performer and is believed to be buried at the
Gosport
cemetery.
Ellen is believed to be from Sunnan(spelling?) Indiana. Dr.
Hester's 2nd
wife was Racheal Fiscus
(1858-1895) who is buried at the Dutch Bethel cemetery. Dr. UAV and
Rachel
were my grandparents.
Thanks in advance for any information you may have.
John Hester
