I am hoping that one of the many SCOTT researchers from OWEN Co. might
be able to help me out on this one. I found on the 1870 Census an
Olover/Oliver SCOTT 50 b. PA his wife from OH. My SCOTT line comes from OH,
and has ties to PA also and I was wondering if he could possibly be another
son of John SCOTT b. 1790 Ireland and Ellen BEAVER b. 1802 PA......as they
had 14 children and so far I have only been able to name 11 of them. All but
one settling in Owen Co. Below is the census info I found:
Laf. Twp., Vandalia
Scott, Olover....50....PA.....Shoemaker
Hannah.................51....OH
Thomas.................17....IN
Rachel...................15.....IN
James....................11......IN
Grayhain?S??.....7..[F}..IN............they would have been in IN since
1853 if census info is correct........My SCOTT's started migrating to Owen
Co. early 1850's.
