Listmembers:
I find it curious that so many of you posted your surnames to the list
during this registry thing, and although everyone is presumably subscribed
to the list in order to make connections with other researchers-
Nobody ever makes any postings pertaining simply to your research.
For the benefit of those new joiners who don't know how to post-
Send an email addressed to INOWEN-L(a)rootsweb.com
In the subject line place something like this -- ROBERTS>> 1829-1875>>
NC>TN>Owen County (or) (Name of Township) in Owen County.
The subject line also helps you to know what each responding email is
pertaining to.
In the body include as much identifying information on this person/family
that you have such as:
Parents, children, siblings, spouses-
Migrations, locations of residences, deaths, burials.
State plainly what information you are searching for. It is best not to put
"looking for any information".
These things are to allow other researchers to better identify YOUR
ancestors and not confuse them with someone else's. This allows you to get
some assistance with your researcher which is the whole point of the mailing
list.
Limit your postings to one person or family per posting so not to be
confusing. You can make as many different postings as you want to, it is
free.
If you are new to the list, please don't hesitate to make your posting and
introduce yourself and your ancestors as many of us have been on this list
for years and know everyone's ancestors. (We need some new blood.)

If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and
all generations of your ancestors. All
of them are alive in this moment. Each is present in your body. You are the
continuation.
