I have an Owen Co. death certificate from 1890. They started in 1882 in Owen Co., but
many of these earlier deaths did not have death certificates issued for whatever reason.

I have one from 1901, so they go that far back at least.
I believe they do go back to 1882, but this most likely depends on the
county.

probably depend on who filled it out or gave the information.
