Hancock web pages can be found at:

this is sort of the start of the Hancock research pages Circle. hope this
helps and good luck.
My main interest is in the Gathright/Garthwright line there was one in Owen
Co,
a Gathright m. Henry Henderson Hancock ( I currently have another researcher
looking for more information too)
a Elizabeth Gathright m Blandford B. Whitaker.
I would love any info on Henry's family most especially his children by
Mary/Polly Gathrite and Willis W. Gathrite, and Blandford B. Whitakers
families also.
thanks much.
Carolyn Gathright Hazelton
I would be very much interested in any information
regarding Samuel G. Hancock who married Ida Davis on
August 28, 1892. This Samuel was also married to
Flora D. Kirk on November 19, 1888 in Owen Co., IN, he
divorced her and then remarried her again on November
1, 1890 in Owen Co., IN. Ida Davis was his third
wife, they apparently divorced circa 1894 and Samuel
married fourthly to Emma M. Dusenberry January 31,
1897 in Owen Co., IN and fifthyly to Bertha Stewart
August 22, 1915 in Monroe Co., IN.
While my main interest is in Ida Davis, Samuel's 3rd
wife, I would like more information on his children.
I am searching for information on the parentage of
Ida's daughter's Pansy & June, who were born after
Samuel & Ida were divorced. My web page is at
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Fields/8494 and my
search on the Davis mystery is under the Brickwalls
sections.

I am looking for descendants of John Heath b.April 18, 1816 in VT
(Groton?) d.Feb. 9, 1889 in Jackson twp, Owen Co., IN and Effie
(Euphemia, Euphonia, Effay) SHAFFER b.Feb 15, 1821 in Tuscarawas Co., OH
(I think) d.May 18, 1861 in Jackson twp, Owen Co., IN. They had the
following children:
Jemima Heath b.1840 in OH (Tuscarawas Co?)
John Calvin Heath b.July 24, 1841 in OH (Tuscarawas Co?) d.Dec. 19, 1893
where???
Peter Heath b.1843 in OH (Tuscarawas Co?)
Francis J. Heath b.1846
Hannah Heath b.Apr 21, 1847 in Tuscarawas Co., OH (?) d.Feb. 27, 1887
in Bowling Green, Harrison twp(?), Clay Co., IN
Delila J. Heath b.1849 in Owen Co., IN
James M. (Madison?) Heath b.1851 in Owen Co., IN
Susan H. Heath b.1853 in Owen Co., IN
Tabitha Ella Heath b.1855 in Owen Co., IN
After Effie died, John married an Elizabeth Kellum b.Aug 4, 1834 in
1861. They had the following children:
Jackson McCullough Heath b.April 19, 1862 died in infancy
Willie Heath b.July 27, 1863 died in infancy
Alice Heath b.1865
Adam Heath b.1867
Caroline Heath b.1870
Lillie Heath b.1877
I am particularly interested in descendants of John Calvin Heath. He
was my g-grandfather. He married Mary Bowman (or Beaman) b.1844 d.Nov.
7, 1867. Their marriage was October 30, 1864 in Owen Co., IN. They had
2 sons that I know about:
Marion Heath
Maryfield Heath b.Sept. 30, 1867 d.March 1, 1948
After Mary died, John Calvin left Maryfield with his sister Hannah and
her husband, William Henry McCullough. I don't know what he did with
Marion, but my aunt says she remembers attending his funeral at Belle
Union in Putnam Co. In 1870, John Calvin appears to be living with his
father in Jackson twp, Owen Co., IN. After that, he disappears. Family
legend says he went to Gas City, IN and remarried. According to my aunt
this marriage produced some sons.
I believe Mary Bowman (Beaman? I'm told John and Mary Heath's marriage
certificate says Beaman for her and Bowman for her father) was the
daughter of John b.1811 and Nancy b.1809 Bowman. They lived near John
and Effie Heath in 1860 and had a daughter Mary who was 16 in 1860 when
John Calvin was listed in the census as engaged to be married within the
year. I suspect John Calvin joined the army and they (he and Mary) got
married when he was mustered out, but I haven't found any military
record of him so far. John and Nancy Bowman had the following children
in 1860:
Elizabeth b.1839
William b.1842
Mary b.1844
Joseph b.1848
Marion b.1852
Thank you for your time and attention.

II have a Henry Hancock as an early pioneer in Owen Co, he had many children
some born in that time frame but I have none of the names you are looking for
but then my list is incomplete. I am still piecing it together
.. however there are several Hancocks that came afterward.
the Hancocks have there own chain of web pages if you care to look. they may
or may not have any information for you... but be careful. they have many
misspellings.. the wife I was looking for wasn't even close to who he really
married.
