After the Rev War many Quakers left NC for the northern states because of
the slave issue. Several families from Cane Creek and other Meeting House in
NC were among those who made the move to Ohio and Indiana. It would seem
that taking the name Cane Creek would be one thing they might have done. A
check of the Quaker records might turn up a reason. It could have been a
Quaker group who first started the Indiana Cane Creek.

I knew there was a Cane Creek in NC. Has anyone ever made a
connection to the one in IN?
