Ruth Massey and Ruth Dix are the same person who married Aug 1799 to
John
Dixon in NC. What I haven't found in all the genealogy, is the Quaker
connection to the Dixon-Dixson family.
Is there anyone that has the 1790-1815 MM of Cane Creek, Orange Co.
NC?
That will be the oldest and possible the only paperwork that might have
the
information I need about the Dixon-Dixson families. In that time period,
was
it still Orange Co. NC or had it changed to Caswell Co. NC.
When Rachel Williams Dixon denounced her marriage outside the Indiana
Cane Creek Church in 1823, was it because Carrington-Carrentan-M.
Cainton-Charentan-Carnton-Canton Dixon had lost his membership in the
Quaker Church or did
he belong to the Christian Church, at the time. In the information, it
doesn't show Rachel Dixon being disowned by the church. Later her father
and
brothers were disowned for language unbecoming of a member and voting.
Quakers
didn't vote for anything that had to do with fighting or war officers
running
to office.
