My Orange County ancestors are:
Wells: Enos *Wells *and wife Susanna *Boyd* (Boid) came to Orange
County 1837-1840. They had children: John A., Jesse A., Elisha B.,
Martha, and Zachariah. They are almost certainly related to the Joseph
and Nathan Wells who came very early from North Carolina and have
numerous descendants in the county. I need verification of this, and
would love to know of male descendants of this family.
James H. *Hutslar* had brother, Joseph who settled in Harrison County.
Their father may have been Jacob. James served in the army 1824-1833.
He married Susannah Mayo in Orange. She died and he married (2) Amanda
Tovay and (3) Susanna Nelson. He left his family and went to Ohio,
where he died in a Soldiers Home in the Dayton area.
Susanna *Mayo* had siblings: Valentine Williamson, Rachel, Elizabeth,
and Sarah. Her father and mother are unknown, but she is almost
certainly related to the many Mayos of Fluvanna County, Virginia.
Charles *Coulte*r came to Indiana in 1814 from Henry County County and
settled near Livonia. Children: Lemuel, Gideon, Tabitha, John M., Mary
Jane, Rhodah, Nancy, Patsy, and Yewell. Need any information on his
origins. He married Elizabeth Fisher after coming to Indiana.
Uncertain if his first wife, Mary died here or in Henry County Kentucky,
where the family was prior to coming to Indiana.
I would like to collaborate with any folks working on any one of these
families.
