Can you send me a link to this website so that I can check to see if my
email address is current? I can't seem to find the website doing searches
on google.
Thanks,

I recently emailed a number of people that were on the Orange County
(Indiana) web site and were listed in the surname registry as
researching the same surnames as I. Nearly all were bounced back to me
as invalid addresses. My own email address on the surname list was an
old one that I hadn't used for years.
Might I suggest that every one with Orange County ancestors update their
email addresses on the list?

I received your email through the INORANGE website.
My family names include Riley, Apple, Pruitt (various spellings), Hammond,
Allen,
MacDonald,
When I retired, I thought I would have lots of time to do additional
research, but
seems like I have immediate things that need to be done.
Have a great 2011.

I am not the Orange County GenWeb coordinator, but only a lowly
researcher. I just thought it might help everyone who has genealogy in
Orange County to have updated email addresses on there. The
coordinator's email address (actually a link to it) is on the web site,
if you want to update your email address.
I do have an Apple connection. My Grandfather, Jesse Wells had a sister
who married Milton Apple.
There was also a McDonald connection to the Orange County Wells family.
I also am retired and have not had much time to do genealogy, since i do
a great deal of volunteer work. However, I am determined to make some
time and get back to work on it.

Hi Marlene,
I have Rileys from Orange Co., IN also. Namely, Edward & Elizabeth Riley
and their 12 children. I have a MacDonald connection also through one of
their children. Their son, Abraham Riley, died in 1821. I have the name of
Elihu MacDonald as buying land that had been owned by Abraham Riley in some
of
the probate papers.
Who are your Rileys in Orange County?

Well, there seems to be more traffic on this list than I first thought.
Good!
Still - let the coordinator know your current email addresses.

The recent flurry of activity on the list reminded me - does anyone know
what happened to the Orange County site @ usgennet? The URL use to be
http://www.usgennet.org/usa/in/county/orange/toc.htm. I found this:
http://www.usgennet.org/usa/in/county/orange/gensoc.htm. Which is maybe an
old site? Since the meetings are listed for 1999. I sure miss the other,
as it was a wealth of Orange County information.
btw: My Orange County families are mainly Burgess and Clouse (my mom's
parents), as it seems all their parents came from somewhere else.
