I am a new subscriber to the list and am looking for several people and leads.
#1. Leads on an Elias Denton Green possible son or brother to Henry Green
living next door to Jessie Vickery in the 1830 census. Elias was born Nov 9
1812 in South Carolina. I figure the Denton name is very important since he
used it always. Was it the name of his mother. Does any one know about a link
between the Greens and the Dentons. Are any from the SC region?
#2. Luarky Vickery married Elias in 1834 and was a daughter of Victor Vickery.
I have only found one reference to Victor in any records-supposedly Victor
died before 1820 and Henry Crum was made guardian to minor children. I would
like to find out more about this Henry Crum. Was he the brother or the father
of Mary Crum --Victor's wife? Luarkey moved to Clay County ILL about 1838.
Elias died in 1848. In the 1850 census there is a much younger Henry Crum
living with her.
#3 I also want to know more about the Hillsboro post office- where was it
located. I have a letter from John B. King stating he lived a mile from the
new post office in 1821.
I am also related to the Vandeveers, Frenches, Carlisle and Boswell families.
Thanks Kathy
