Hi folks,
I returned home yesterday from Miami and had quite a bit of email asking
why I wasn't answering any mail for quite a while. Well I was diagnosed with
a tumor in my left lung back before Christmas, which I chose to ignore.
(Stupid idea on my part). I was scared and very hesitant to have anything
done.
In February I decided to have something done and I started looking for
someplace in Florida that handles that type of tumor with some regularity
that my HMO (aren't they great?) would pay for. My closest place was Miami.
My tumor was related to asbestos, which I'm the third generation in my
family to work with. They removed the lower lobe of my left lung, which lead
to a huge staf (?) infection. A little radiation and some chemotherapy. This
fiasco last for close to three and a half months. Not a good experience to
say the least.
I had to temporarily move to Miami, fortunately with an old family
friend, and didn't have access to the net, my sister-in-law kept uploading
to the net for me during this period of time, so the Orange County site kept
getting updated. That's another reason why there has been so much history
being uploaded. it's easy work to do when laying down, I got so tired
sitting for any period of time.
Now there's several hundred additions to make and I'm getting busy right
away. (It's so good to be home, I felt that I was in limbo, with doctors
giving half the information you need, overworked nurses just doing their
jobs, and the waiting for any news). Working on the site during this time
has been a godsend, busy work with a goal in mind. Thanks for hanging in
there with me and being patient.
