Hi Joe:
Just noticed another interesting "coincidence" in Orange County. I have a
4th Great Grandfather, Adam BRUNER, Jr. who died in Orange County.....one of
his daughters, Mary E. BRUNER, married Edwin Evans KENDALL. Here is a short
outline:
Descendants of Edwin Evans Kendall
1 Edwin Evans Kendall 1820 - 1882 b: 12 October 1820 in Worchester, Mass.
d: 25 January 1882
.. +Mary E. Bruner 1836 - 1911 b: 08 August 1836 in Lawrence Co., IN d: 27
July 1911 m: 10 July 1862 in Lawrence, IN
........ 2 Lillie Jane Kendall 1863 - 1864 b: 16 May 1863 d: 19 November
1864
Does this ring a bell? If so, have more on the BRUNER's but nothing more on
the KENDALL's....perhaps you could send me an outline if it ties in! This
is exciting!
Thanks, Jan

Subject: Allen Family
Seems that a few of us are having fun with the Allens. We are looking
at
the Allens of Southern Orange county; primarily.
So far we have identified.
Archaibald Allen, born 1750, Westmoreland county Va. Resided Fauqueir
county Va. From early childood through 1782. Moved to indiana c. 1818
from Hardin county Ky.
Had at least one son in the area: Archibald Jr. born 1799.
He had a brother William Allen of Hardin county Ky. William had three
children in Greenfield township.
Elizabeth Allen Kendall, born 1774 Md. Wife of William Kendall
Eli Allen of Greenfield township, born 1785 in Ky ( which deferentiates
him from his cousin Eli , son of Arch. , Arch was in Md in 1785). believe
he married Elizabeth McDonald in Hardin county Ky.
Patsy Allen McDonald, wife of Clement McDonald married in 1816 in Hardin
county Ky. Born c. 1796.
Arch, Eliz Kendall, Eli Allen and Patsy McDonald were all members of the
Providence Baptist church.
Note the 11 year gap between Eliz. and Eli.
In the 1820 enumeration of males and the 1820 census of Orange county
Indiana. There appears a Lewis Allen. This Allen lived very close to the
Kendalls.
Anyone want to jump in?
Joe Kendall
