Hi Sharon, I have been doing a little research for you. There is a Jane Osborn listed in
the 1850 in French Lick Orange county Ind. If you go to RootsWeb and on the Ancestry side
type in cicero joseph worthington it will bring up a whole list of things. Go to the
heading Trees and Community and click on it, I think there were only three of them. and
research the one that says Jane osborn spouse and he married a second time to Susannah E.
Miller and you will get all sorts of info and probably a contact name. Hope this helps
some Diana Ireland PS C.J changed the spelling from Weatherington to worthington
during the cw

Subject: [INORANGE] Virginia or Jane Osborn b 1851
Can someone tell me if Jane Osborn b 1851 IL is among the many Osborns in
Orange Co? I can't find either given name on an 1850 census in Indiana or
surrounding states. She may have had another first name. A cousin has
checked Ancestry thoroughly. I have queried Lawrence Co about Jane and
can't place her in an Osborn family there.
We suspect Jane's given name might have been Virginia since a granddaughter
was named Virginia Osborn Allen.
Jane married Cicero Joseph Worthington in Lawrence Co November 22,
1866. He had returned from CW service. His parents were southerners who
came to Lawrence Co during or after the CW. Cicero went by his middle name
of Joseph in Lawrence Co. He farmed around Mitchell. The couple had 5
children before Jane died on November 30, 1876. They were Mary Catherine,
John, Dora, Martha, and Delilah (Della. ) CJ's pension papers give her
date of death and confirmed children.
Does Jane or Virginia Osborn sound familiar to those studying Orange Co
Osborns?
