I can't even remember how it happened but I met "online" the owner of the
land my Samuel FRENCH and his brother, George FRENCH, lived and died on in
Northwest Township in Orange County.
He not only sent me pictures of the headstones, pictures of the old
homestead, and also probate records from Samuel naming his family, etc.
This was way above the call of duty and I have never forgotten his
kindness....Tony Jones, if you're on this mailing list.....THANKS AGAIN!!!
I feel so fortunate to be able to include these pictures in my notebook for
the family.
And as the real topper, he's restoring the original homestead (that is still
standing )
for a weekend retreat.
Someday I hope to be able to see it in person!
