I have check several online websites for Orange County records and I find
there are very few available. Even on the Indiana websites there are no county
coordinators. Am I not looking in the right places? Is Orange County kind
of an orphan? Were the records destroyed? I have ancestors who lived there
and I keep hitting brick walls. Please tell me if I am being naive or just
plain wrong. If so, where should I be looking?
Thanks,
Bonnie in NV
Get to an LDS Family History Library!!
They have all been microfilmed. I was able to use microfilmed obscure
orphan court records from Orange County to solve a 35 year brick wall!!
You can check accessions online at _www.familysearch.org_
(
http://www.familysearch.org) Look for the Family History Library Catalog.
