Hello List
I have a James Smith listed on the 1820 census and have court papers that state James Smith's wife Elizabeth died before Feb. 1826 and James was apointed gaurdian of his minor children Martin & Sally also mentioned was the children Hanna & Anna. In the 1830 census it shows James Smith with a new wife {Possibly also name Elizabeth] and more children. Is this James and Elizabeth the ones listed on the 1850 census. Does any one know where the first wife was burried??? When did the last James and Elizabeth die and where are they burried??
Court papers also say that the minor children Martin and Sally were the heirs of a William Smith Deceased.?? Was this James Brother?? Where can I find more Information about this family. names of older children of first Elizabeth etc. And is this James the one mentioned in the court papers filled by Herry Doughertys widow Cynthis?? was James her Son in law. or related to them in some way. Any Information any one can give me will be most appriciated and thank you for your time Mary Lou
