does any one there have any information on the James Smith and his wife Elizabeth that died some time in 1826 and if not is there any way to get this information I would like to see the court papers where he was in court about his minor children and any other papers that have information about him Please Thanking you very much Mary
In a box-lot that I purchased at an auction some years back there was a
Bible that originally belonged to Mrs. H.L. Miller of West Baden,IN.
There are no 'family records' in it, but it is noted on the presentation
page that it was Presented to 'Mother' from 'Marie' in 1925.
If anyone is interested in having this Bible please contact me.

You can find the list of emails for the commissioners,
the snailmail, and phone numbers for The Loogootee and
Shoals Paper. The Snailmail, Email and phone number
for the Washington Herald. There is also a address for
the Sheriff if you'd like to um set him straight :-).
And last but not least there is an online petition for
you to sign. It certainly can't hurt to sign it.
I will pass what I gather on to Nancy Baker for her to
give to whomever she believes would serve the Court
House the best.
For those of you who don't know me... I'm the genweb
coordinator for Martin Co. I'm responsible for adding
genealogy information to the geneweb genealogy website
and keeping it running. I also am descended from
Wininger, Lewis, Jones and Emmons, all old families of
Lost River Township. So the courthouse has a
historical meaning to myself as well.
Without further adieu:
