Hi Phyllis,
The people at the courthouse are very friendly and helpful. One book that
I found last week that I had not noticed before was Petition and Record
book (it said vol 3-4; I didn't see any other vol.) It had more
information concerning the naturalizations of immigrants. It had what was
called Declaration of Intentions and petition for naturalizations. Gave
descriptions of the person etc.
The health dept is located in a different building near the courthouse, I
don't know the name of the street. I didn't make it there this trip. I do
know they have birth/death records and I was told coronor report books
there. I believe they are only open to 3:30
Hello, Kathy
I can't tell you the hours of the courthouse........I was there last
fall. I don't remember that there were a lot of record, but the staff
was very nice (as they are in MOST places.)
I'd be interested in more info about the vital statistics place, and
what's available.
