I happen to have a copy of "Ohio County Cemeteries" by D.R. Dorrell, Sr.
published in 1982.
This is all the book says:
Bear Creek Babtist Church Cemetary
In memory of Rev. Erastus Lathrop, died Oct. 22, 1821 45-2
To the memory of Newton Watts 2-9-1800 died Nov._________.
"There are 5 standing stones. Most of them not legible. Several large flat rocks
probably used as stones. It appears these have been raised and graves dug into. Probably
parts of 25 stones.
It appears that this was a fairly large cemetery and was walled up but due to its location
on the creek bank much of it has been destroyed by creek when it rose. The Watts cemetery
probaby replace this cemetery due to its loacation being so close to the creek. Located
about 100 yds., down Creek from Watts cemetery."
About the Watts cementery:
"Almost at the corner where Ohio and Ripley Co. join. On farm owned by Millers"
That's all I have. Good luck.
