Amy,
I have been away from genealogy for quite awhile because my sister was sick for the past
year and died recently. Also my wife and I are now in the process of adopting a 14 year
old boy, so we have been up to our necks. My e-mail has changed to
<swell_shades(a)yahoo.com>. Your grandmother Genevie Truitt (I thought she had this
unusual spelling) is my first cousin. My father Albert Potter was Clayton Potter's
brother. I would be happy to share any information that I have amassed that might be of
interest to you. Actually, I put my pedigree into book form - ancestors of my Potter,
Corson, Richason and Jackson grandparents. Sandra Stahl has a copy. Others in the family
have made copies from hers. I know Betty Pavey made copies for her daughters. I sent a
copy to the Rising Sun Library (I don't know if they shelved it) and the Historical
Society (I saw it on their family history shelves). Your great grandmother Gertrude
Galbreath Potter (who just recently died) had a gre!
at interest our family history and made many notes that she shared with my mother many
years ago. I used those notes in my own work. Of course genealogy is never ever finished
- there are always loose ends and those lead only to more loose ends. The book has only a
pedigree printout, and omits much important documentation that my database contains.
Please contact me directly. I'd like to hear about your own work.
Ken Potter
