The only RICKETTS I have is Lucretia who married John A. KEITH in 1838, and
the following from an old book belong to my Great Uncle.
""Louvica Bliss Ricketts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Worden Bliss, was born
September 1, 1881, and died on June 5, 1910, age 29 years, 9 months and four
days.
She was married to Oliver S. Ricketts, December 18, 1907 and to them was
born one son, Oliver C. Ricketts, age 2 years....She leaves 5 sisters and 3
brothers..

Subject: [INOHIO] Ricketts families in Ohio County, IN
My g-g-grandmother was Mary Ann Hizer (1826-1908) daughter of
Jefferson
Hizer (1811-1888) and Elizabeth Ricketts (abt 1812-< Apr 1829). In 1850,
near Rising Sun, I have found Mary Ann and husband (my g-g-gfather)
Farrington Barricklow living next door to Wilson Ricketts, age 28 and wife
Sarah age 23 and children Josephine age 5, James age 3 and Hugh age 2.
I am hoping, probably just assuming, that these Ricketts may be related to
Mary Ann Hizer Barricklow. I have been told that Elizabeth's parents were
possibly Jeremiah and Elizabeth Ricketts. IF what I have found is correct
I
find it unlikely that Jefferson Hizer went to Ohio to find a wife.
Jefferson's 2nd wife was Lucy Anne Bayne and his 3rd wife was Mary
Hensley.
Jefferson and the last 2 wives are buried at Quercus Grove Cem in
Switzerland Co.
If anyone has any info regarding any of the above it would be greatly
appreciated.
Linda Barricklow-Collins
Hillsboro, IL
