I'm sorry but Ray Novak passed away last year. Thank you for replying to
his query. Ray and I are related through the French family line. Ray was
our official family genealogist and had been researching these lines for
over 30 years. I don't have access to what he was working on so will assume
that those searches are pretty much over. To answer your question, no, he
wasn't a descendant of Elizabeth Swift. So, I suppose that ends that. Good
luck in your searches.
Karen

This is in reply to an explanation given by Ray Novak 29 Jan. 2001. This
is my
first attempt at this. Ray, I am a descendant of Henry Upton Swift,
the youngest child of Paul Swift and Betsey Furber. I assumed daughters and
parents died in an epidemic cerca 1830 and that is why Mary Swift Callahan
took the children in. Do you know Elizabeth Swift French's middle name and
where she was born? Are you a descendant? If so, I have your tree back to
the Mayflower.
Lynne
