We are trying to loacate B.Franklin & Rose Anna Corbin who migrated to the OH-Switzerland Co Indiana area from Grant Co KY between 1871 and 1880. In 1880 he and Rose Anna were in Switzerland Co IN, Cotton Twp. We are interest in this line as it is a g-g-grandfather. They must have died between 1880-1900 during the 20 yr. census gap. I am wondering if they died in Ohio or Switzerland Co. Their children were Melvina, Alice, Bassett L, Catherine, Olivia, Joanna, James D, Belle & George Corbin. Bassett L married Mary Belle Vanosdol and that is our line. (Bassett was mistakenly listed as "Bassadell" a daughter in 1880) George Corbin was accidently killed in 1893 in Ohio Co Indiana. He was married to unknown. Of the rest of this family we know precious little but we are seeking info. I found a cemetery listing for Melvina Corbin, New Liberty Cemetery, Switzerland Co. She was supposed to have married a Samuel Kinnet. James D Corbin may have married a Mary Alice Smith. If any of the!
se folks ring a bell please contact us. We also are asking for any cemetery lookups for B.Franklin Corbin b:Mar 1824 d:?? and Rose Anna Corbin b:abt 1828 d:??. B.Franklin may be Benjamim Franklin Corbin. This family has been tough, any help would be so appreciated. You can either post an answer or contact us directly: rogncarol(a)pbtcomm.net
Thank you. Roger & Carol Smith

We have recently upgraded our website pages to make navigation somewhat faster and more intuitive. The Indiana atlas series is a useful research resource for those of you interested in early Indiana places and names:
http://www.har-indy.com/in_map/in_index.html
Each Atlas CD consists of a series of either 8 or 9 bordering counties making up 1 of 11 Zones that depict all of Indiana's 92 counties. Each Zone Atlas contains high resolution scanned images of vintage 1876 county maps that are presented in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF).
Each county map may include the following 19th century features:
* roads, railroads and canals
* cities, towns and villages
* post offices and government sites
* one-room schoolhouses, churches and cemeteries
* rivers, streams and ferries
* industrial sites, furnaces and mills
* early homesteads and farms
* and much, much more
The Historic Atlas of Indiana series is an invaluable aid to Genealogists, Historians and researchers in search of 19th century Indiana places. The Adobe Acrobat Reader for MS Windows is needed to view, zoom, pan and print from the PDF map images contained in this atlas; and is included free on each CD. No other software is necessary.
The Indiana CD's are also available for purchase on eBay at by following this link:
