I would recommend to visit the Noble County Public Library in Albion. We
have an extensive collection there.

I need some advice, please.
We will be literally passing through Noble county in the next week...I'll
only have a couple of hours at best (before the significant other's eyes
roll back in his head with boredom) to search for some info on my
VANDERBOSCH and STOECKLEY clans from Avilla/Kendallville/Ege areas. I've
been to the cemetery (St. Mary's), so other than a quick stop there to pay
respects, we can move on to other venues...where do I go??? Public Library
in Avilla? Garrett? Auburn? Catholic Church in Avilla?
Timeframe the clan was there is 1860's thru probably 1910's (though, yes, I
believe some distant relatives are still in the area today)
Any suggestions on where I might best use my time, open hours? I'm happy to
hear your suggestions. (I'm also willing to share some info with the local
repositories, if they're interested...have a very few photos, lots of
documented data).
Thanks.
Bonnie
