Hello Jeff -
It's the same Gregory Lash. My line comes through his brother, Paul
Lash. I'm stuck on the Lash's and was trying to find some clues in
Gregory's Civil War Pension file if there is such a thing. I was
wondering if his name had been translated as George. His baptism
record from St. Mary's was translated George. Do you have Gregory's
obit? I can send it if you'd like.

Hi Karen,
Does this Gregory Lash happen to be married to a Margaret Olry.
Margaret Olry is a great.....great Aunt of mine. I have her
husband, Gregory Lash being born Oct. 25, 1840 in Ohio, and his
date of death as December 13, 1920 in Avilla, Indiana. However, I
never heard of him being a civil War Vet. As far as a Civil War
Regiments list goes. There is a book of Ohio Civil War Vets in the
Library of Michigan. There is also a pension index for vets on
microfilm there. I would be more than happy to look for you
(especially if we are talking about the same person) the next time
i go there (which might be a while).
