Greetings List,
Deffenbaugh, Anthony.
I think that Anthony may have came to Noble County at the same time as
the others. I found an Anthony Deffenbaugh living not far from the others in
Morrow County, Ohio in 1850, that would have been of the right age. I know
that Morrow County was once part of Richland County, Ohio.
Anthony was married to Daniel and Jane Portner's daughter Susan. I
know
that at one time they lived in Noble and sometime moved to Michigan, because
their daughter Jennie was born in Michigan. They later moved to Nebraska
where Anthony died in 1895.
Some of my Algire collateral relatives seem to have followed this course
(from Richland Co, Ohio to Noble Co, Indiana to Michigan). I believe that
one of the daughters married into the Deffenbaugh family and resided in
Nebraska for a time. I've included the census records below. Is this any
relationship to your Deffenbaugh family?
