Death of Etna Druggist Monday
Columbia city, Ind., Sept. 24 -- Rollin C. Woodruff, proprietor of the
Etna drug and notion store, was called by death at 8 o'clock this
morning, having been a victim of consumption for the past six years. The
deceased was born at Avilla forty-three years ago, where he was united
in marriage in 1895 to Miss Ella Weaver. Eight years ago he purchased
the business of A. P. Beardsley at Etna and has since resided in this
county. He was a member of the Methodist church and until ill health
prevented his attendance a member of the order of Odd Fellows. He had
been confined to his bed for only two weeks. Besides a wife he leaves
two daughters, Therma and Beulah, and one son, Glen. The remains will be
taken to Avilla Tuesday where the funeral services will be held,
interment being in the Avilla cemetery.
