My Harts begin with John D. Hart, born March 13, 1816 in Fayette Co. PA. On
June 5, 1834 he married Margaret Taylor, who was born May 17, 1816 in
Fayette Co. PA. they were married by the Rev. James College. apparently
the Taylor family moved to Richland Co. OH in 1834, and John and Margaret

grandfather and grandmother Taylor were both natives of Pennsylvania, also,
and in that state all of their children were born."
In 1835 or 1836, John D. and Margaret moved to Knox County and settled in

I have been lucky in finding William T.'s civil war diary (my father
remembered that some articles had been given to the Ohio Historical Society
by his father, and they found the articles for me and copied the diary.
Much of what I have learned comes from that diary, and more comes from some
folks in IN that were researching the Homsher's.
