Sharon/Jerry:
I have Bloomfield and Becker ancestors in Old Kendallville Cemetery so I have been there
many times. It is located on the street right behind McDonalds on SR 6/North St. in the
town of Kendallville. You can access it by going to Krueger St. just one block south of
McDonalds, at the intersection of High St. I believe. You will need to drive your car in
the gravel drive between old closed factories/foundries, altho other businesses may have
rented space. It is all rusty looking around there so don't be turned away by that.
Just park in there, then walking, head west up a steep hill, but not a big hill. It is
easily accessible. There is a chain across the opening with a sign on it that said
"Baby Cemetery" the last time I was there.
Just lift the chain and go under it and right there is the cemetery. The stones are
scattered here and there, many broken, may have grass and sod grown over them, and are
hard to read. I think the numbering system starts Row 1 just as you walk in, but not sure.
If you go to the Noble Co. rootsweb site, there are listings of rows and who is buried in
that row.
The cemetery is kept up well enough to walk easily, as it is kept mowed. That is Wayne
township if you need to contact the person who takes care of that cemetery, and that name
is on the website for Noble co.

Subject: [INNOBLE] Kendallville cemeteries
I read somewhere, some time ago that there was an "old Kendallville
cemetery" in addition to the Lake View Cemetery. Is anyone familiar with
that cemetery? Thank you.
