I am seeking information from other researchers regarding the Busz, Skeels
and Doolittle families, residents of Noble County during much of the 1800s.
Jacob Busz entered Noble Township prior to 1836 with his sons John, Simon,
Henry and Jesse. Jacob was born in Switzerland in 1796 and died in Noble
County in 1855.
Of particular interest is his son John, born 1834, possibly in Noble County.
John married Mary C. Skeels, daughter of William Skeels, another pioneer of
this area, and Susanna Turner. One of the daughters of John Busz and Mary
Skeels was Rebecca Ann, born Noble County in 1863. Her father John Busz died
in Noble County in 1895.
Rebecca Busz married at least twice, one husband being Willis Doolittle, son
of William Doolittle and Elizabeth Kain, all of Noble County. The marriage of
Rebecca and Willis was in Noble County in 1886.
I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone having information on these
families.
