DEATH COMES TO W. H. HENDERSON
Native of Heltonville Died Monday Evening From Stroke At Home In Mooresville
Lawrence county relatives of William H. Henderson, 72, native of Heltonville,
but for the past half century a resident of Morgan county, have been advised
of his death at his home in Mooresville last Monday evening from a stroke of
paralysis, suffered Sunday morning while he was attending church services.
Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Friends Church, of
which he
was a member and burial followed in the White Lick cemetery.
Moving from Heltonville to the North Branch neighborhood at the age of 21
years, he followed agricultural pursuits successfully for several years and
during this period was united in marriage with Miss Emma Clark. Later he
engaged in
the sale of real estate and remained active in this field for 35 years.
He is survived by the widow, a daughter, Mrs. George Taylor, Amherst, Mass.;
a son, Paul, Mooresville; a brother, J. D. Henderson, St. Joseph, Ill,; seven
sisters, Mrs. Julia Stout, Plainfield; Mrs. O. S. Hadley, Kokomo; Mrs. Zeno
Williams, Crawfordville; Mrs. Mollie Allen, Mrs. Ruth Shrader, Mrs. Amanda
Willard, Monrovia, Calif., and Mrs. Victor Allen, Monrovia, Ind., and three
grand-daughters.

FUNERAL RITES TO BE FRIDAY
For Opal Henderson, Former Local Resident, Who Died In Seymour Wednesday
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Friday from the Gilgal church
located north of Heltonville, for Opal Henderson, 33, employee of the
Noblitt-Sparks factory at Seymour, who died there at 8:30 a. m. Wednesday
from acute
bronchitis. The deceased was an electric welder and had lived at Mitchell
until two weeks ago when he moved to Seymour. He was stricken with a
streptococcic infection Sunday.
The body was prepared for burial at the Haverly Mortuary in Mitchell.
Interment will be made in the Gilgal cemetery.
Mr. Henderson was born in Bedford on March 17, 1903 to Mr. and Mrs. Moses
Henderson. He was united in marriage here in October, 1925, with Doris
Railing.
Surviving relatives besides the widow are three children, Burns, Garris and
Billie; three brothers, Grover and Bid Henderson of Bedford and J. Bryon
Henderson of Seymour, and two sisters, Mrs. John Fleetwood of Bedford and
Mrs. Carl
Calp of Glenwood.
