My Carroll family settled on the Stotts Creek Morgan Co. in the 1820's. There surely
must be a connection to your Stotts family????? Not a very common name Stotts.

The only records on probate was for Robert C. Stotts, James'son, and one other son to
James that I can't think of at the moment. What Stotts are you looking for? Margaret
Stotts daughter of James Stotts Sr. married James Speake in Morgan Co. 1831 is my
connection. They called Margaret Peggy in fact almost all the children went by nick names
I have a news article about the family that uses their nick names. It was a story that
someone was telling about one of the Stotts girls running of to get married.
