Betty,
Do you know who the father of James Carrel Morgan was: We have a James
Morgan, born abt. 1815, who disappears from the census after 1840. We find
him later in Illinois?

I saw you r email regarding a James Cemetery. I am a James
descendant of
this area.
Do you have more information?
I have a marriage certificate for a Martha Laughlin marrying James Carrel
Morgan Co Ind 17 February 1840. Could this be the Laughlin family you
mentioned?

This message was received 4/27/07 and the voting ended that day. I'm so
sorry because I didn't even see it until the 28th and I would have voted
to
preserve any historical site, whether my ancestors lived in that area or
not.
This is for informational purposes only and is not to criticize anyone. I
have corresponded with Sharon Mills/Morgan Co. in the past and she was
delightful and very helpful. I guess I would just like to say (to whoever
was in charge of this venture) that I'm so sorry I couldn't personally
help
in the voting and that I hope you get your funding for the James Cemetery
project.

P.S. It doesn't make a bit of difference, but my gggrandfather was born,
raised and married in Morgan Co. in 1830 and immigrated to Barry/McDonald
Co's in Missouri. He was a Laughlin.
